Nixies are part of the faerie family.These creatures have beautiful voices and only people who have the "sight" can see them.These creatures might lure and stop other creatures from attacking them like fire breathing giants.Giants are made of rock and are often sleeping nearby towns, and appear as normal hills and mountains.They eat and control the salamander population which gives them the power to breathe fire.These creatures are very territorial and will cause fights with other giants often becoming fatal for both giants and humans.Like nixies, there are mermaids in the ocean.Mermaids like nixies have beautiful voices but these creatures bargin with humans in order to get something in return.There are also drawfs that are amazing buliders who use iron and other metal to bulid their home.Some creatures are evil like Mulgrath from the orginal spiderwick chronicles and his minons.

Alot of movies have featured fairies/faeries.The Spiderwick Chronicles movie ties together the 5 orginal spiderwick books and summarizes the whole series.The story starts off with 3 siblings, Jared, Simon and their older sister Mallory along with their mom moving into a new neighborhood.Their mom is really busy with her new job so the 3 children discover and learn about their great-great uncle Arther Spiderwick, and their great -aunt Lucinda.Then they meet A brownie called thimbletack who was given the responsbility of keeping the field guide safe.He becomes friends with the 3 and tells them all about Arther and his connection witht he faerie world.All throughout the movie and the series the three discover more about the faerie world and learning about the main antagonist Mulgrath.Mulgrath wants Arther's field guide for himself to gain more knowledge and take over the human world.However in the end, Mulgrath loses and upon escaping as a bird, Hogsqueal, Jared's faerie friend eats him.Tinkerbell is relatively similar, where the story revolves around the main protaganist Tinker bell.She discovers new fairies who have the power to control water, wind, garden,light,tinker,animals ,frost etc.
Did you know that in the first book of Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles, Tony Diterlizzi and Holly Black were featured in the book?-The two siblings wanted to get some help from the Grace family and went to the Spiderwick Chronicles Book signing event, that when the authors where mentioned and were drawn into the book.The 3 siblings from the previous series , Spiderwick chronicles become famous based on their experience with faeries and the spiderwick books.Both of these stories help fix family drama and stregthen bonds with each other.The characters from the previous and the orginal spiderwick chronicle books, also are in the beyond the spiderwick chronicle books.
